Now It's "Anomalies"

New claims for unemployment jumped to 474,000 last week, the highest number in eight months, and the culmination of several weeks of significant increase. They can't blame it on the weather, or on any holiday break, so now it's simply reported as "Jobless Claims in U.S. Unexpectedly Jump Due to Anomalies." Endless cheerleading on the economy. I'd prefer action to cheerleading.

Most of the "anomalies" which they list, by the way, such as a "Spring break holiday in New York," do not cause a surge in applications for unemployment. You cannot get unemployment for a holiday from work.
