Cooking Today

I'm in the process of making barbeque sauce for grilling chicken, which requires four hours or so. My wife just asked me why I'm doing that when we're not having company, and I'm trying to figure out what that means. Was I just insulted? Was she complaining, or expressing happiness...? What?

4 hours for the BBQ sauce or the chicken? or the whole thing? I can see that for the whole thing. Was it Grandpa Heffners BBQ sauce? or your own creation?

Response to Kathy: He has time on his hands, so why not? Keeps him busy, off the streets, reduces angst, and feeds you well. What's not to like?

  2. Exactly what I was thinking,"Four hours to make BBQ sauce?" Then I realized you proably ment the whole process of sauce to finished chicken.

  3. Nope: four hours or so for the sauce. Significantly less simmering time than that and it merely tastes like modestly seasoned catsup. What's the matter with you people?

Chicken takes about twenty minutes because I cut it up into pieces first.
