CBS Evening News last night said that Gaza
"was created in 1949 for the Palestinians after the Israeli war for independence." Has anyone ever heard it called that before? A
"war for independence?" Is Isreal now the Middle East version of
"American Exceptionalism?"
This was a war of independence from the indigenous people who lived there.
