Merriman Is In Camp
Oh, be still my pounding heart. The Chargers will surely win the Super Bowl now. Quarterbacks and runners everywhere are quaking in terror, and every other team in the league is merely playing for runner up. A new stadium in downtown San Diego is now assured. Bret Farve has retired at last.

One commentary I heard was that he doesn't like training camp, so he retires from that, and then unretires to play after TC is over. That theory might just have some credibility, from his past record. Personally, I think he just needs to realize how old he really is, give up, and save us all from the drama. (Not that I pay very much attention to it, but it does seem to be the subject of a lot of conversations in public around here, for some DA reason.)
